Presents:
L ' other shore immigration
In the media and speeches of many politicians, immigration is associated with the crime and is dealt with as a matter of public policy. The images of overcrowded boats, men massed in the reception centers and holding the mug shots of those responsible for crimes, prevail on the stories of lives. Of the thousands of men and women who arrive in Italy from the poorer countries do not know the homes they live in families with whom they share the migration, the conditions under which they carry out their work.
From two surveys, we want to discuss illegal employment, illegal hiring of immigrant workers living in of slavery and die in the countryside, the dramatic events that immigrants face to get to Italy, the Italian and European immigration policies that bring migrants into the hands of traffickers in human lives and to corrupt police, in total disregard of human rights. But also discuss positive examples of social work and with the host and immigrants in Italian cities.

Men and corporals. Travel between the new slaves in the rural South
Alessandro Leogrande (Mondadori, 2009).
Will discuss with the author, (Sokos), Constantin Constantin (Aven amentia Savale) Plan b
Every summer, thousands of foreigners from Africa and Eastern Europe, the pour into Tavoliere to engage in the collection of tomatoes. They are the new laborers living in dilapidated houses or slums, in hygienic conditions, wage and working atrocious. They become victims of gang masters who, in agreement with the landowners in the area, sorting them in the whole region. Among the "new slaves" who have tried to fight back, many have disappeared into thin air, others have died in circumstances misteriose.

Like a man on earth Richard Biadene, Andrea Segre, Dagmawi Yimer
Dag studied law in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Due to strong political repression in his country had decided to emigrate. In the winter of 2005 he crossed by land to the desert between Sudan and Libya. Libya came across a series of mishaps related not only to the violence of smugglers who run the route to the Mediterranean, oppression and violence suffered by the Libyan police, responsible for indiscriminate arrests and inhuman deportations. Survived the trap Libyan Dag managed to arrive by sea in Italy, in Rome, where he began attending the school of Italian Asinitas Onlus, a meeting point for many African immigrants. There he learned not only Italian but also the language of the video-documentary. So he decided to collect the memories of his peers on the terrible journey through Libya, and try incomprehensible to break the silence about what is happening in the country of Colonel Gaddafi. The documentary gives voice to the memory of human suffering almost impossible, with respect to which Italy and Europe have responsibilities that can not remain hidden much longer.
